Nimbasa is Yoshiller's Altaria in his Let's Play of Pokémon Emerald.
Pokemon Emerald - Yoshiller VS. Chuggaaconroy![]
Nimbasa is the second Pokémon sent out in the battle against Chugga. Moegami used Rock Tomb on Nimbasa, which nearly knocked Nimbasa out. A second Rock Tomb was used, but Nimbasa managed to dodge and used Fly, but it hit Teddy who was switched in place of Moegami. Nimbasa is withdrawn and swapped out with InvinciBug.
Later in the battle, Nimbasa is sent back out to fight Acooltent and managed to paralyze Acooltent with Dragonbreath. Nimbasa is poisoned by Toxic, which leads to Nimbasa's defeat, as a Slude Bomb and the poison knock Nimbasa out.
Pokemon Platinum[]
Nimbasa is the first Pokémon used by Yoshiller in the match and went up against Psythe. Nimbasa managed to hit Psythe with a Steel Wing before it was hit by a Psycho Cut in response. It then used Pluck, but it just narrowly didn't KO Psythe, who knocked Nimbasa out with another Psycho Cut.

Trivia[]
- Nimbasa, along with another Altaria of the same name in Yoshiller's Pokémon Platinum version (it is unknown if they are one an the same), are named after Yoshiller's personal favorite city in a Pokémon game (Nimbasa City from Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2).
