Misty is a Gym Leader in Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon Crystal. She specializes in Water-type Pokémon.

Pokémon FireRed Edit

Part 9Edit

Misty was the second Gym Leader that Emile faced. Her Staryu fell easily to Bulbapedia's Razor Leaf, and though her Starmie knocked out Emile's freshly caught Meowth, It could only use Swift against Bulbapedia; it managed to deplete more than half of the Ivysaur's HP before fainting to a second Razor Leaf. Misty granted Emile the Cascade Badge—allowing him to Cut trees—as well as TM03, Water Pulse.

Pokémon Crystal Edit

Kanto - Part 5 Edit

Despite the larger and stronger team, Misty proved barely more of a challenge than the first time around.

Her Golduck fell easily to Emile's Espeon, prompting her to skip ahead and send out her strongest Pokémon, Starmie. The Starmie made short work of Emile's Dragonair but met its match against Emile's Feraligatr, whose superior Attack stat meant it could only delay the inevitable with Recover. When Starmie finally went down, Espeon took the field again, defeating Quagsire and then Lapras with relative ease as Misty neglected to use healing items, once more earning Emile the Cascade Badge.
