“ | A long-awaited adventure, something that seemed just right for the 50th! | ” |
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story was Chuggaaconroy's 50th Let's Play. It was preceded by Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected. The LP is a direct sequel to Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. The main story concluded after 48 episodes, and the bonus video was released on January 8, 2025.
A Nintendo 3DS remake of the game, titled Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, was released in Japan on December 27, 2018 and elsewhere in January 2019. Chugga dislikes the remake, but still includes content exclusive to the remake in his LP.
Announcement[]
50th Let's Play
The video announcing Bowser's Inside Story as the 50th Let's Play
In 2022, Chuggaaconroy chose to do the Paper Mario redux LP due to disliking the Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story remake. During the last Sticker Star bonus stream, Emile revealed that he started the planning stages of a Let's Play on Bowser's Inside Story in early 2020. However, despite hearing that the 3DS remake was of poorer quality than the original, Emile decided to do a playthrough of it so he could takes notes of the changes and add it to the Let's Play. Unfortunately, Emile hated the remake due to how horribly balanced it was (to the point he could beat most bosses on the first turn despite not grinding) amongst other changes he disliked. The experience was so awful that it turned him off from even looking at the game and halted plans on doing a Let's Play on it until four years later.
After Emile finished his Let's Play of Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected in September 2024, speculation occurred over what game Emile would choose for his next Let's Play, with a recurring belief that it would be either Bowser's Inside Story or Luigi's Mansion 3. In November 2024, Emile commemorated the fact his Let's Play would be his 50th with the announcement video "50th Let's Play", which featured a guitar medley performed by FamilyJules of songs from the games that Emile previously Let's Played, accompanied by memorable moments from those Let's Plays, and concluded by revealing that Bowser's Inside Story would indeed be the 50th Let's Play. Emile confirmed on December 14th 2024 that the main story would be 48 episodes.[1] On January 8, 2025, Emile concluded his Bowser's Inside Story LP after releasing the finalised version of the bonus video, which removed a dark subject matter mentioned in the original version of the video.[2]
Hints[]
- It does not require playing another game to enjoy.
- It is the third game in its series.
- It is not a remake of a previous Let's Play.
Memorable Moments[]
- Running Gags
- Chugga's annoyance with the sheer amount of tutorials in the game, complete with a "Tutorial Counter" always accompanied with a grunt from Bowser. Some instances of it going up are also from him mashing through dialogue boxes and accidentally saying "yes" to them.
- Chugga insistently refers to the vats of white liquid Mario and Luigi fall into that send them back to the start of a level section as "canonical mucus".
- In a reversal from Partners in Time, Chugga's overenthusiastic successes on the level-up increment roulette, after figuring out the timing. That being said, he's not completely infallible.
- His horrific accents for Broque Monsieur and Broque Madame.
- As Emile uses or otherwise references the Chakroads, he constantly quotes the mysterious voice saying "With our MIIINDS!", complete with an echoey effect on his voice to emphasize it.
- When describing how the remake changed things for the worse, Emile starts it off by uttering a very annoyed-sounding "In the remake..."
- Constantly introducing new enemies by accidentally selecting attacks that target all enemies instead of singular enemies, with him needing to clarify that the name of the new enemy isn't "All".
- Chugga describing coins as "useless gold" after building up a surplus of over 60,000 of them (enough to buy almost anything else you would need for the rest of the playthrough) using the 99 Block in "Becoming Gods."
- Due to min-maxing Mario's Pow, combined with the Daredevil Boots to double it, Chugga often one-rounds enemies including late game bosses. Conversely, he also gets Mario knocked out just as easily due to missing the counter inputs whenever he uses the Daredevil Boots.
- Episode 1: The Adventure Within
- The narration about the blorbs epidemic is filtered like an old-timey news report, with a voice filter that makes it sound like a radio station.
- Chugga's disastrous attempt at a blorbed Toad. He tried to use his Toad voice while gargling water and chokes on it. If you listen closely, you can even hear him drinking the water before attempting it.
- Chugga once again was the worst Mario & Luigi player, only upping HP not knowing you could select any stat to increase. At the very least, he eventually did notice the arrows that indicate the bonus stat could be selected this time.
- Episode 2: Hit By a ‘Bus
- The video starts with Chugga pretending to be a traffic cop stopping Starlow and giving her a ticket for going "15 Tutorials an hour!"
- After touring the town and Challenge Node, there was but one location he had to go: BOWSER'S ARM!
- Chugga talks about how Tim misheard Mario's "Let's-a go!" as "(something) pickle", considering how compressed the voice clip is on the Gameboy Advance. Tim overhears the discussion and makes a sudden appearance, complete with a goofy mugshot cut-in.
- Episode 3: Making the French Mad
- The title itself is a jab at his stereotypical French accent, which he does in excess as it's Broque Monsieur's introduction. The embarrassment from the performance eventually hits like a ton of bricks (or blocks, in this case) once it finally sets in.
- After obtaining the Vacuum Block, he suddenly breaks out into song, on top of the French accent.
- The day before he uploaded episode 3, he uploaded a community post which summed up what was coming. Chugga: OHHHHHH GODDDDDDD. I just realized what tomorrow’s video is… oh no.
- Episode 4: Drinking an Ocean
- Right at the beginning of the video, Chugga reads out the infamous "It is I who nuts to that!" meme right as Fawful appears.
- While reading Toadsworth's rather verbose dialogue, Chugga accidentally mispronounces the word "hither" as... Hitler. Chugga: I'm sorry! You English people talk so funny, it just— it trips me up!
- Near the end, Emile nearly signs off with calling the game Partners in Time, having to remind himself to get out of his seven-year mindset as he catches it.
- Episode 5: Fire Guy
- The Intro is preceded by Chugga speaking fast and high pitched "Heya, Luigi! What do you say we go and order a pizza? Oh, but I can't! I gotta no job!" (as revealed by Chugga himself in the comments) as Mario due to him being Mini-Mario.
- In his notes, Chugga has Scutlet listed as "Buggy McBuggerson" because he forgot what it was actually called.
- When Scutlet eats Starlow, Chugga cheers because there will be no more tutorials with her gone.
- This time, Emile nearly calls the game Partners' Inside Story when he signs off.
- Episode 6: Lost Kitties
- Every time Broggy knocks Broque Monsieur off screen during the boss fight, Chugga adds a cut off scream.
- During the scratch card tutorial, Chugga references "Expiration Date".
- Chugga questions the logic of Fawful being the losing symbol on a scratch ticket, noting the real life equivalent to this would be putting Osama bin Laden on an American lottery ticket.
- When bringing up that coins collected by Mario and Luigi when in Bowser's body and Bowser in the overworld are shared between them, Chugga concludes that Bowser eats his money to store it and regurgitates it to spend it.
- As he's signing off, Chugga nearly calls the game Superstar Saga this time and says he's going backwards.
- Episode 7: Kicking a Shell for 3 Hours
- As the title implies, the entire episode is dedicated to Emile (and Tim) failing miserably at the Green Shell Challenge Node for a strenuous amount of time. As it goes on, both guys get within the cusp of victory, only to get thrown off by various factors at the last minute.
- When Tim shows up to try and take a swing at the game, he's introduced with the Fantasy Life "item obtained" jingle. His first couple of attempts were fumbled by forgetting to press B on Luigi's turn.
- Chugga makes a comment on how several kids must have hit 149, just one short of the A-Rank. Tim ends up hitting 149, complete with a soul-crushing wail of a Big "NO!" from Chugga.
- Near the end, Tim has to step out to do a livestream, which prompts Chugga to give him a heads-up that he might suddenly scream "WHERE YOU AT?!" if he gets over 150 while Tim's away. One more try later... Background Text: Tim said he could hear me outside the house.
- Episode 8: Trying Hard Mode
- On several occasions, Chugga fails to knock out the Trashure, running away before he could loot the money from it. He tries to tell it to come back in vain, and resorts to taking off the Challenge Medal to demonstrate the unique scenario.
- He looked over his notes for the previous episode, and it reads, "Don't worry about making progress, what's a better idea is the Cholesteroad. You can totally A-Rank the first challenge." Considering he had to chop up three hours of footage to make Episode 7, he can't help but laugh at himself.
- Episode 9: Don't Wiggle My Wiggler
- Chugga's voice for Wiggler is the same one he gave to Wiggler from his Sticker Star review.
- When Starlow immediately repeats Wiggler's tutorial about the enzyme, Chugga voices her like Roll from Sequelitis.
- Episode 10: We Are Giants
- Continuing off from Episode 9's cliffhanger, the Wiggler scurries down into the hole to bring the Banzai Bill to Bowser. Chugga then brings special attention to Wiggler's disembodied head complete with a Stock Scream.
- Episode 11: Easy Money
- The episode opens with a How We Got Here, but it comes off as a "this is how I died" retelling.
- He puts the Challenge Medal back on to try and farm off the Lakitu King, a vacuumable encounter. Chugga's luck decided to be particularly spiteful that day, as not only do they rarely show up, one ends up fleeing, and he's getting none of the drops. Then he checks the drop rates for the items they drop. The Coin Boots is a 20% drop rate, while the Gold Ring is 50%.
- Chugga sells a Gold Ring to Broque Monsieur, but plays it up like some crazed proposal.
- Episode 12: Koopa’s Road
- He makes Broque Monsieur sound like a Pokémon, speaking in only stereotype haughty French accented "HOH" for all his dialogue.
- Episode 13: Bowser VS Midbus
- One of the Goomba greeters only says "Start!", and he reads it in the same inflection as the classic Mario Partyannouncer. After the third time, a voice clip of said announcer is played.
- After talking to a Koopa and Boo couple, Chugga wonders if dating a Boo falls under necrophilia. Considering his — ahem — preference for Bow from Paper Mario 64, he's one to talk.
- The very long-winded speech from a Goomba attendant goes full-on Motor Mouth, with Chugga's reading being greatly sped up.
- Chugga initially mistakes the bow ties on the Boos taking Bowser to the victory feast for them sticking their tongues out and promptly voices them as such.
- Episode 14: Glop Quiz!
- DEF has been weighted favorably for the bonus stat due to his focus on offense, so he gives the bonus to that stat to both Bros. to even out the stat bonus weighting. He gets a 6 for Mario and a 1 for Luigi. Even gameplay mechanics bully Luigi sometimes.
- Chugga is confident he could take on the Nutsoglobin's Brain Train Quiz without any hints. He ends up failing on the very first question.
- One question asks which character Bowser doesn't want to see him while he's gained so much weight. Chugga goes through all but one answer before finally getting it right. The choice he knew was incorrect? Luigi.
- Episode 15: I Sent You Away, Kretin!
- Just before he fights the Kretin, he shouts "THE BALLS ARE COMING!" when Starlow notices them coming back. The innuendo is not lost on him.
- Nothing goes quite right for Chugga against the Alpha/Beta Kretin. He first gets the Alpha Kretin color mechanics wrong, and then he misremembers where the main Beta Kretin is when it splits, wasting a Jump Helmet on a clone Kretin.
- After insisting the only way out of Bowser is out the ass, Chugga recoils at Fawful's tractor beam taking the shape of a hand, likening it to getting a prostrate exam. Then he's taken aback when Bowser demands Fawful "put [Peach] back!", getting the mental image of an Ass Shove.
- After Bowser literally burns off the fat, Chugga suddenly breaks out into singing to the tune of "All Star" when Bowser says "Hey, now".
- Episode 16: My Turn to Jump on His Head
- During the intro, the events of the last episode are summarized as... "The princess was extracted by an Anal Probing." Cue Bowser going still and Emile going silent for a few seconds before resuming like nothing happened.
- Emile and Tim have another go at another Challenge Node minigame, this time they tackle Juuuuump Mode, where they have to cross as many checkpoints as they can without running out of time or falling using the Jump Helmet. While it does take them a while to beat it, it isn't nearly as long as it took them the first time.
- During Emile's first few tries, his second attempt ends up being a measly 2 plasmeters, and another attempt was 0. He also failed at the start because he accidentally moved out of the way of the first jump.
- Tim ends up breaking his concentration (by consciously breathing) and fumbles at a simple jump, with 58points, to boot. As he was 2 points short from reaching the A-Rank, he decided to lie to Emile that he didn't come that close to winning, hoping he wouldn't notice he raised the old record from 56. Emile clarified in editing that he didn't notice that Tim raised the high score, even giving Tim a "well played".
- Tim accidentally knocks over the Wii U when tagging out at one point, complete with a Precision F-Strike.
- Episode 17: Fire in the Hole!
- Chugga gets disturbed at the Lumbar Nook and makes a swift exit, realizing he's in the shell of the Koopa King (it's hollow, like real-life turtle shells).
- He then realizes he gets into the Leg Outpost through Bowser's pelvis; or rather his "crotch hole".
- Episode 18: Unearthed Relic
- Chugga's notes for the game had been written back in 2020 before the remake put him off from doing the LP, so looking at them now, he's amused to see that his past self had written, "Toad Town Caves. Uhh, excuse me! I think you mean Toad Town Tunnels! You can't pretend Paper Mario never happened forever!" Chugga: Oh, past me, if only you could know how much you freakin' won in the end when it came to Paper Mario!
- Building off of mentioning last episode how the Giga-Carrot minigame was That One Level for everyone buthim, Chugga relays another story of being the worst Mario & Luigi player as a kid by saying how he spent an hour trying to figure out what to do with the faucet puzzle... Chugga: But at least I didn't get stuck on the carrot minigame!
- Emile's attempts to give the Paratroopas an English accent somehow fares even worse than the French one he gives for Broque Monsieur. According to Chugga's "very British" girlfriend, whenever he tries to sound British, he sounds Australian, and whenever he tries to sound Australian, he sounds like a Londoner.
- Episode 19: There's the Blockade!
- As per new move unlocked, Chugga goes "to heck with the plot" and tackles the Yoo Who Cannon Cholesteroad challenge instead. He then realizes how fitting it is considering he had a cheeseburger and fries for lunch.
- Which becomes ironic when Tim A-Ranks the challenge just seven minutes into recording, as Chugga unexpectedly has to cover Plot Things in this video, after all.
- Chugga sarcastically says "Oh no, I can't." when he's unable to hop over the clearly jumpable barricades.
- The Yoo Who Cannon ends up becoming a joke to correctly execute, after having locked in on the endless version's increasingly faster difficulty.
- As per new move unlocked, Chugga goes "to heck with the plot" and tackles the Yoo Who Cannon Cholesteroad challenge instead. He then realizes how fitting it is considering he had a cheeseburger and fries for lunch.
- Episode 20: A Brawl in the Mall!
- Emile points out how it was probably for the best that he didn't LP the game in 2020, given that it's about a pandemic.
- Emile slips into Totally Radical speech when having a Toad explain everything there is to see in the Toad Town shopping district, even saying some infamous slang words such as "poggers" and even "skibidi" in the mix.
- The latter slang word has set half the comments section ablaze, telling Emile to never say it again. Chugga: So that's why this video has slightly more dislikes than usual...
- "BOWSER TITS!"
- When Emile gets the Small Shell, he equips it alongside the Daredevil Boots on Mario, hoping it would give him a bit more wiggle room to work with and that it would prevent him from getting one-shot, only to be proven wrong when Mario immediately dies after being hit by Bowser. Additionally, Emile struggles to fight Bowser due to equipping those boots, which leads into an uphill battle consisting of Bowser One Hit Killing Mario, forcing Luigi use 1-Up Mushrooms to revive Mario, only for Emile to fail another counterattack and for Mario to die again. As the extra icing on the cake, Emile ends up defeating Bowser with a counterattack as Luigi.
- Episode 21: The Hardest Massage
- Instead of chasing after the sage, Chugga takes on the Gauntlet and has a hell of a time against Durmite X, bemoaning he should have kept the Daredevil Shoes on if he was gonna perform this badly.
- He goes back to the Durmite X fight to check if the Straw had been renamed "Straw X". It isn't, to his disappointment.
- Chugga's absolutely demonic sound when he activates the negative ions.
- He visits Broque Madame for the first time, and comes in with an off-color pun. Chugga: Did you hear about the sexist masseur? They said he was massage-ynistic.
- If you thought his Broque Monsieur accent was terrible, add in an attempt at a feminine voice to get Broque Madame.
- Episode 22: Sneezeburger
- During the Nose Deck tutorial, the Bowser sound clip for the Tutorial Counter sounds a lot more embarrassed than usual now that the counter is reaching 40.
- Episode 23: Getting Lost in Your Saliva
- Chugga tells the entire story of being the worst Mario & Luigi player. To recap, he had no idea the Bonus could be selected, and defaulted to HP every level up for Superstar Saga and Partners in Time. He continued doing this for Bowser's Inside Story up until watching a friend level up in Blubble Lake and increase POW... but rather than realize he could've always done this, he instead believed it was a brand-new feature added to the third game for another five years. He was twenty-four at the time. Additionally, he didn't know Bowser's fire breath could be held down for extra power, and brushed it off as sucky unless he had to use it for whatever reason.
- For added context, Chugga had just turned twenty-five when he started his Superstar Saga LP, where he first shared his tribulations of giving bonuses to HP. He only discovered that you could give bonuses to stats besides HP within the prior year to him first airing this Epic Fail to the world.
- Right as Bowser is about to get crushed by the giant robot, Chugga ad-libs some dialogue for Bowser that has him speculating that the darkness surrounding him is being caused by a solar eclipse.
- The way Emile recaps the events of the episode at the very end is nothing short of comedic genius. Chugga: Dude. We got tons of money. We cleared a challenge. I got to finish telling my story that I've been building up for like, 9 years. And we frickin' DIED! (Beat) ...What an awesome day!
- Episode 24: Running With Giants
- Emile attempts to yell into the mic to trigger Bowser's fire breath against the Tower of Yikk, similarly to a stunt he pulled during his Phantom Hourglass LP (which he explicitly gives a Call-Back). He's much less successful here, barely dealing any damage compared to the excellent fire breath attacks he's been doing the entire fight by actually breathing into it.
- Episode 25: Drilling the Fat
- Chugga attempts to hammer a POW Pep but the uneven ground makes it out of reach. The POW Pep is also too high to punch Mario, making a complete stalemate out of something so minor.
- Episode 26: Slog of Wisdom
- Chugga's voice for Wisdurm makes her sound like Squiliam Fancyson or Baldi.
- Episode 28: Bean There, Done That
- Chugga's brilliant way of introducing the Fawful Guy. Lucky there's a Fawful-y Guy! Lucky there's a man who positively can do All the things that make us chortle; cry!
- Shortly after wondering if he has dyslexia considering how often he misreads things, Chugga misreads the description for the Heroic Patch, assuming that it reduces SP cost and Attack Power for Bros. Attacks instead of raising both. He then decides it's not worth it and that he'd rather have the opposite (i.e. what the Heroic Patch actually does). Fortunately, he caught it after recording and corrects himself in the Flavor Text. Recording Chugga: I'm not going to reduce my attack power. Not for any reason. If anything, I would be fine with raising my SP cost to boost my attack power. Post-prod Chugga: PAIN.
- Episode 29: Becoming Gods
- When the Toads in the Star Rank Shop offer the Bros. a whisker shave, Chugga puts an image of Mario without hair or mustache on-screen, accompanied by a Stock Scream.
- Chugga forgot he had already done the Super Bouncer challenge a couple videos ago.
- At one point in the episode, he quotes part of "The Posh Breakdown of the Gorilla Who Refers To Himself as an Ass".
- Episode 30: Becoming a Hero... Eventually
- After Bowser fattens up by eating the leftovers from Fawful's victory feast which allows access to the Flab Zone, Chugga interprets Bowser's wide-eyed stare into the camera as him questioning his decision.
- Chugga notes that when playing as Mario and Luigi, Bowser apparently chooses to just stand perfectly still for several minutes on end.
- Chugga forgets to free the Bob-ombs from their cage, as the post-production text continuously points out before finally remembering.
- Bowser and a group of his brainwashed minions get into a tug-of-war style conflict of pushing Fawful's statue, with Mario and Luigi having to stimulate Bowser's muscles so he can succeed. Chugga reacts in utter disbelief that Bowser needs help with this as five members of said group are dead and three of whom have no mass. He also gives Bowser his Captain Padraig voice for "THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME?!", before acknowledging that he's probably ruined that line for everyone else by now. Coincidentally, this episode was uploaded on the 7th anniversary of Xenoblade Chronicles 2's release date.
- Chugga giving the Monty Moles something of a Russian accent.
- The episode ends with Bowser getting rammed into a giant boulder by the Fawful Express. Chugga does another ad-lib just as Bowser gets crushed, albeit a much shorter one this time: one that he did back in his Partners in Time LP and one that fans of his know all too well. Bowser: D'oh. Chugga: [as Bowser] I missed.
- He signs off with, "We'll see what we can do for this bowl of turtle soup."
- Episode 31: The Best/Worst Fight
- After hyping up the Memory M+L Fight, Chugga one-shots Memory M with a Lucky, Boosted, Jump Helmet.
- Chugga fills the Badge Gauge right on the final hit on Memory L meaning he couldn't activate it for the bonus EXP and Coins.
- Episode 32: Frozen Alien Bodies
- After defeating two of the three Shroobs in one hit each, he taunts Starlow for telling him to heal pointing out there's only one left and fails to dodge the last Shroob's laser shots resulting in Mario's defeat. Chugga: That's what happens when I talk.
- Episode 34: Puzzle & Cuddle
- After going over all of his problems with the remake of Bowser's Inside Story, Chugga remarks that he would normally say that a lot of people probably played the remake first without playing the original but brings up how the 3DS remake was a horrible commercial failure, making such a scenario incredibly unlikely.
- After Mario and Luigi restore Kuzzle's window, he looks through it and sees the ocean. Kuzzle: Hm... Gazin' out of this reminds me of the first lady of my life. Chugga: She was really wet.
- With all the bean collecting that's gone on in this playthrough, it's sort of phenomenal that Chugga's managed to hold off on making Matthew jokes... until now. Chugga: All of that's looking pretty good. I'm feeling full of beans!
- Episode 35: Transcending The Sky
- Past Chugga wrote in the notes for the LP, "God, I hope your Broque Monsieur voice embarrasses you".
- Episode 36: Wearing His Skin
- Emile, during his original playthrough, ends up walking past all of the Sockops without talking to them carrying the body of one of the Sockops. He did this while talking about how this was one of the most memorable moments in the game, forcing a future Chugga to rerecord this instant to talk to them. Chugga: I was so busy talking about this section being memorable that I forgot to do the thing that made it memorable! ...That's a very "me" sentence.
- Given the Sockops love to say the word "chug", it was only a matter of time before Emile would make the obvious pun: Chugga: Just let me chug the conroy and we'll be fine.
- Episode 38: Belongs in the Trash
- Emile expresses his shock when a move (involving Mario drinking a bunch of water and storing it for Luigi to hit him and spew water as a projectile) doesn't involve a lengthy tutorial teaching you how to do it (Possibly due to the fact that it's an Underused Game Mechanic, only used twice in the entire game alone).
- Chugga initially panics when starting the fight with Junker because he forgot to de-equip the Daredevil Bootsfrom Mario and Junker has the ability to take Luigi out of the fight... which we never see because Junker goes down in just two Bros. Attacks and never gets a turn. Even better, the Bros. Attacks Chugga went for were Falling Star and Magic Window, the two best attacks in the game, the latter of which can theoretically do infinite damage... but Chugga only gets to land the first jump with Magic Window because Falling Star did so much damage on Mario's turn, thanks to the Daredevil Boots. Milo Gaillard: Damn, Chugga is so overleveled, he’s able to destroy the boss that kicked my ass as a kid, before that boss even had any chance to attack.😂😂😂 Chugga: It's okay, he gets his revenge next video!
- Episode 39: Revenge of the Garbage Man!
- In preparation for the next superboss fight, Chugga makes Mario go streaking... by taking off the Muscle Wear in favor of the Luxury Patch, as DEF is a Dump Stat with his Daredevil Boots build. He then realizes Mario is roaming around in just gloves and shoes.
- True to his word in the comments, Chugga gets dumpstered by Junker X, as he has no frame of reference on Junker's moves. Take 2 was even worse as he got wiped out on Turn 1.
- Episode 40: Blowing Up My Sanity
- Emile and Tim spend the entire video (over 7 hours of recorded footage) attempting the Bob-omb Blitz challenge with Broque Madame. The end shows a live reaction of Emile after he finally beats it on A Rank, snuck in by Tim to capture the glory of their freak outs.
- Episode 42: Rubber Baby Broggy Bonkers
- Unlike the previous challenge, the Magikoopa Mob challenge is laughably cheeseable. Cheeseable, however, doesn't mean Chugga and Tim can clear the challenge quickly.
- Chugga tries to showcase Broggy Bonker and some unseen Dark Mechawful Head moves, but ends up KO-ing both Dark Mechawful, and thus, not showing off said unseen moves.
- Episode 45: The Dark Star
- After warning about possibly missing bean spots in the Airway in the previous video, Chugga overlooks several of them in the final chambers leading to the boss, prompting post-production Chugga to paint them with a Big "NO!" as recording Chugga walks past them.
- Upon approaching the boss of the Airway, Starlow advises Mario and Luigi to go back if they don't think they're ready. Emile decides to take on her advice and leave... and then transitions to the 3DS remake of the game with a very cheesy line as he does. Chugga: Starlow... You're onto something. I think I wanna leave... because this Let's Play is now in 3D!
- While he does use the remake for the Dark Star fight (which he deems better than the original), he leaves one last piss take: showcasing a (minor) Game-Breaking Bug in version 1.0. It's possible to crash the game by rotating the circle pad on the menu for thirty seconds. That's it.
- Episode 47: Dark Fawful
- Chugga forgets to heal Bowser after the giant battle with Super Peach's Castle, which sets up an episode-long Brick Joke when he walks into Dark Fawful with just 40HP once he gets back to the DS version, after the slog of beating him in the remake. Naturally, Fawful one-shots Chugga before he can even get a turn, making him waste a Retry Clock (the only one used in the entire Let's Play) to try again at full health. Post-production Chugga once again catches the mistake and does a zoom-in on Bowser's HP to emphasize what's coming.
- While he's finishing off Dark Fawful in the remake, he gets so frustrated from how long the fight and difficult the fight is (partly due to how he is underleveled since he is using a speedrunner's save file in the remake) that he utters a very... interesting sentence, to say the least. Chugga: Please, go d— JUST DIE! Just hurry up and die already! I know you're like, seven years old, but... There's no recovering this sentence in a way that doesn't sound creepy and awful!
- Episode 49: Over the Rainbow
- While fighting Bowser X, Chugga is reluctant to go for a Magic Window as he thinks his hands are too sweaty to do the Action Commands. He wipes his hands on his pants and goes for it anyway... and fails THE FIRST JUMP, dealing only 9 damage. Bowser then vacuums up the Magic Window, preventing him from salvaging that performance.
- Bonus Video
- Emile, just when he thought he was done taking jabs at the 3DS remake, spouts his catchphrase "IN THE REMAKE..." several times, even switching between different ways of saying it so it's not as repetitive.
- After asking in a previous video about asking whether you could stick a vacuum in your ass to suck out the poop, Emile finally got his answer from posts on Reddit and proudly displayed it at the very end of the video. And also explains how a girl died from this exact same thing Emile talked about, for good measure. He decided to reupload the video with this part removed for being a little too dark, stating "I made the decision to change the ending of the Bonus Video. It didn't sit right with me and kept me up last night. Sorry if it gave you bad feelings."[3]

Trivia[]
- During his Let's Play of Bowser's Inside Story, Emile also played Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and Mario & Luigi: Brothership off-screen. His opinions of those games were as follows:
- "Finished Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. I thought this would be a fun opportunity to take shots at the worst game in the series, but honestly… I don’t feel that way. I actually think this game is really good! It has problems, especially with the story and world being bland. But the gameplay is easily the best in the entire series, and I might even say the music is too. It’s funny because it has a lot of the same problems as Sticker Star, but I’d describe it as “Sticker Star, but actually fun.” I got so addicted to the achievements and super bosses! If it just had an actual story and crossed over with literally any PM besides Sticker Star, it would be the best Mario & Luigi. I feel like already knowing it’s a waste of a crossover helped me to enjoy the game for what it is. I might become this game’s biggest defender."[4][5][6] Prior to playing the game, Emile said "Thinking of trying this. It’s the only Mario RPG I’ve never played at all. I’ve heard it’s good, heard it’s horrible, heard it has the best combat in the series, and heard it’s not amazing but at least better than Dream Team. Never heard a consistent opinion about it"[7] and later said two areas in that "I'm 2 areas deep into Paper Jam, and I cannot believe what a complete waste of a good concept it is and how the story/characters are Sticker Star levels of nothing. Yet I cannot believe how ridiculously fun it manages to be at the same time. I am hooked regardless of its issues."[8]
- "Finished Mario & Luigi: Brothership. This game in a word? Addictive. I just had to keep playing to work at the achievements, the sidequests, crafting equipment, finding islands, everything. The Plug system was incredibly welcome, finally giving uses and strategy to regular attacks!. Going in, I expected this game to be “just okay,” maybe better than the 3DS ones, but lacking the magic of the original trilogy because it was a new developer. I was wrong, this is the next great Mario RPG. The finale might even be the best in Mario & Luigi. If I have a major complaint, it’s the first three hours. It’s boring and nothing happens. It takes that long to get one Bros attack, one traversal skill, and fight your first boss. I would have cut it entirely or made it so you get those things on your first island"[9][10][11] Prior to playing the game, Emile said "Time to see who’s right! IGN or literally everybody else."[12]
- Emile also played Donkey Kong Country 2 and Sonic X Shadow Generations off-screen. His opinions of those games were as follows:
- "Finished Donkey Kong Country 2 for the first time. Lived up to the hype! I’d only ever beaten the first one, and this was a vast improvement. I was impressed by how many level themes there were and how much they nailed the atmosphere of each. Final score was 17 Hero Coins. I played normally for the first 4 worlds, but after that? I would have never beaten this game without relentless save stating. I am convinced some of those levels are impossible to do in one go and anyone who says they beat this game on original hardware is lying."[13][14]
- "Finished Sonic X Shadow Generations tonight! Collectively, it’s probably the best Sonic game ever made. I can’t tell you how much my kid self wanted a follow up to Sonic Adventure 2’s story that was actually good. Also I thought I was the only person who always liked Rail Canyon."[15]
