Chuggaaconroy Wiki

"I come to you today with sorrowful news. As of this morning, we said goodbye to our dear friend Kirby. He wasn't himself this week and we confirmed he was in renal failure, so it was just time to let him go. His life ended with him falling asleep while being pet by his family. We will miss his loving nature and his sense of timing, whether it be a funny meow or to comfort whoever needed it. He lived the longest, happiest life of any animal friend I've ever had, and would have been 20 years old in just a few more days. He taught me so much about caring, and I consider him an example of the little guy surprising us all. This channel will be going silent for a few days, but know your love for Kirby is felt and will be read as we feel able. May Kirby rest well."
Chuggaaconroy's tribute to Kirby[src]

Kirby was Emile's cat and his longest lived pet. He was named after the Nintendo character of the same name. To put into perspective how long Emile had him, he was 5 years (or roughly 36 cat years) old when Emile started his let's play career, and he has been part of the Chuggaaconroy youtube family for 14 years (or roughly 72 cat years) since, so his fans have known him as long as Chugga.

Kirby had a habit of wanting to lay on Emile's lap during recordings. Other contributions from Kirby to recordings included meows and trying to get in front of the screen. He was also discussed by Emile often in recordings, along with Emile's other cat Teddy.

On September 16th, 2021, Emile announced that Kirby had end stage kidney disease, but the cat was receiving medication for it. Kirby passed away the morning of July 8th, 2023, at the age of 19 years and 10 months, and Emile and Tim were there when Kirby passed away. Emile later announced that Kirby had appeared in a few unreleased recordings prior to his death. Kirby's final recorded appearance was in Episode 48 of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, and a tribute to him was featured at the end of that LP.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
