Gary Oak, also known as Blue, is the rival and champion of Pokémon FireRed and the 16th Gym Leader of Pokémon Crystal.

  • Gary is one of the two rivals to defeat Chuggaa in a battle, the other one was Cheren.
  • His name comes from Ash's rival in the Pokemon anime.
  • Gary is the 1st of Emile's rivals that had a name other than their default name (Blue), the other being Eyan, whose actual default name is Silver.
