Flint, canonically known as Nate, is the male player protagonist of Pokémon Black 2 & White 2. Parallel to Blaise in White 2, Flint has been primarily controlled by Tim in Black 2 minus a few short occasions where Emile took over to showcase version differences.

Part 4[]
Flint technically debuted when Emile would connect with Tim to showcase local play with the C-Gear, with his name being seen for the first time. His design and team were both kept secret for the time being, however. Tim set him to look like a Pokémon Ranger, possibly as a reference to his namesake from Mother 3.
Part 16[]
Flint made a more proper debut when Emile switched over to Black 2 to showcase the significant changes on Route 4 between versions. Emile didn't even know which Pokémon Tim had been using, which led to some amusing reactions to his choices and nicknames. In particular, he got a good laugh out of Time grinding Cottonee all the way up to Level 38 in order to learn Cotton Guard. Emile would end up catching a Mandibuzz whilst controlling Flint, due to it being a special version exclusive encounter.
Part 19[]
Another version of Nate appeared in front of the Battle Subway as an NPC. He teamed up with Blaise to fight the Subway Bosses, Emmet and Ingo, in an exhibition match. The duo managed to easily beat the bosses.
Part 21[]
The NPC version of Nate appeared one more time while Emile was showcasing the Battle Subway. Emile commended Nate's in-game team, stating that it was a massive help that early in the game in particular.

Trivia[]
- Emile has mentioned how he finds Nate's design to be kind of goofy, especially compared to his female counterpart Rosa. He's also used the nickname Mop Head in many cases when referring to Nate.
