Offscreen, Emile briefly deposited Magby's egg in the PC Box so that he would have room for a side quest involving a guard NPC lending him a Spearow with mail, for which he earned TM50 (Nightmare) and an HP Up.

Offscreen, while Emile went to heal his team up for the battle against Ecruteak Gym Leader Morty, a Level 5 female Magby hatched from the egg, knowing Ember and Dizzy Punch.

Magby remains in Emile's Party but isn't used.

Part 21[]

Magby was forcibly drawn out against Gentlemen Preston in Glitter Lighthouse in Olivine City when Preston's Growlithe uses Roar to send Vui out of the battle. Emile neglected to switch her out and used Ember, which did a sliver of damage, while Growlithe used an unsuccessful Leer. Emile then planned to use Dizzy Punch, but a Bite attack effortlessly knocked the under-leveled Fire-type out.

Offscreen, Emile deposited Magby in the PC Box to withdraw his Hoothoot. Magby remained there for the rest of the LP, never seen or mentioned again.
